Mrs Smart's Retirement

The day began with a special assembly where the children from every class entertained us all with songs, poems and videos. Gifts were then presented to Mrs Smart from Governors, Staff, Pupils, Parents & Ruairí Óg Hurling & Camogie Club. Following this Mrs Smart presented St Mary’s with a Crucifix to be used at school Masses and Assemblies. She then thanked everyone for their very generous gifts and good wishes for her retirement.
In the afternoon, Mrs Smart treated everyone at school with ice-cream and Smarties and the day was rounded off with an evening in Cushendall Golf Club attended by Governors and Staff past and present.
